People think there is an instantaneous line separating life and death. So it is MOMENTARY the separation mentioned before – the death, I mean. Because the existing pattern is the materialism and this tells us that is real what we see and hear and touch as supposedly real. Forgetting, of course, that there is no necessary relation between what our senses feel and a true reality.

Going further, when someone dies, soon we (wrongly) realize that life does not exist there anymore, because body seems not keep on reacting and apparently has no inner movement which could indicate an existing will as an expression of a consciousness.

Then we conclude that suddenly the death turns up as the end of the life when a life stops all its evident existential signs.

But who are inside the dying body, in order to unequivocally know that life ends there and the death takes its place at the same time?

We do not really know what life is. And less than that, we truly do not understand what death can mean.

When people decide to be cremated, do that under the supposition that there is nothing else when a body dies. So, it is quite indifferent that a legal doctor can come to cut a recently died body just to determine the cause(s) of the death, or that the body can be burned.

Besides, there is a psychological assumption supposing that cremation can CLEAN the body, thus eventually avoiding the indecorous decomposition of it (which is just imagined and not watched step by step...).

In other hand and psychologically yet, to burn a body makes someone convince oneself that one can thus delete the own life just finished to live, maybe under the consideration that it was not good or even moral.

We have a romantic supposition behind that assumption, in sum, which believes that cremation can PURIFY the biological process as a whole.

But, in fact, what it is (the cremation), is a STUPID way, an irrational practice, to deal with the death. Because burn a body just few hours after die is, beyond the main classification on it, brutal – and mainly obscene. Once it is due to the fact of an absolute IGNORANCE on what death really is/means – and in what it consists. Besides, it considers that nothing else exist beyond this kind of material existence.

The moral (the RATIONAL!) attitude (and a more spiritualized one), in this case, is to observe, to respect, the NATURAL PROCESS. Because what is horrible, in human concern, will be necessary not the same in the sighting of the worm.
